Sheared

Sunday 3rd September § Leave a comment

I’ve had my hair cut.

I know, it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but I haven’t had a haircut in quite a few years. I feel denuded, despite still have a fist length hanging below the bobble of my ponytail.

It could have been the quickest haircut in history. I’d washed my hair and tied it back as I habitually wear it and then with one sawing snip my Dad removed almost half a foot of hair. That much greasy hair feels surprisingly heavy, particularly when it’s in a bundle in your hand.

I haven’t decided whether I like the result or not. It looks a bit too 70 ‘s. I think I’ll reserve judgment for a while. I do like the way it flicks round when it’s wet, reminding me of a Baywatch stylie slowmo.
