Granny’s Had A Heart Attack

Sunday 2nd April § Leave a comment

She's been in Abergavenny hospital for a week now, after being admitted on Monday with the characteristic chest pain of a prolonged heart attack. By coincidence Val and Tim came up for a week's holiday at Ty Canol so they've been visiting her regularly. The trauma of the attack has brought on memory loss as it has before when her body's been under exeptional stress.

When Dad visited her yesterday she'd forgotten about the house that she's been living in for the last ten years since Grandpa. She also get's confused about time; she remembers us children as young children, picturing us at half our true age. One irony of this memory loss is that she's forgotten about the pain that she was in before and still she manages to remain as cheerful as ever.

The plan is that tomorrow she'll be transfered up to Builth Hospital if she's well enough.
